Here at our radio station we are always supporting hometown heroes. You can even submit your own if you wish. But here is another way to salute them through the Blue Friday organization.

As you know 11 years ago we started a campaign called "Blue Friday" , it was to honor the men and women who risk their lives daily to protect the lives of others, and to raise money for the families of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Each year it has grown bigger and bigger and more and more of our great community leaders are getting involved.
These kids broke the cute meter. First graders from St Thomas The Apostle School created a brand new theme song for our Blue Friday fundraiser on April 24th to help the families of fallen police officers. Wanna hear it? I knew you would!

This has been a year of much criticism toward law enforcement. I don't want to get too deep into this but on the same token, I got thinking how life would be without the folks in blue. Think about it for a second.
