That's how you can describe the life Father James Lefebvre of St. Mary's Church.  An amazing advocate for police officers as well.  So much so that there's going to be a fundraiser in his honor

Check out THIS bio!

Father Lefebvre has been a Priest for 56 years and has been the Albany Police Chaplain for the past 53 years.  He has also been the Chaplain for the FBI for 17 years, the FOP Chaplain for over 20 years, and is the Chaplain for the Northeast Chiefs of Police Association.

In 1986 Father Lefebvre did the 1st Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Mass for the Albany Police Dept. and has continued to do this mass since then.  In 1989 New York State passed the legislation for the NYS Law Enforcement Memorial and the mass which was originally done for the Albany Police Dept. then became the mass for the NYS Police Memorial and in 2016 Father Lefebvre will be doing his 30th mass.

If you or your organization would like to do a presentation for Father please contact Pat Fox @ (518) 469-9201 so we can put you on the schedule.

At the event on November 14, 2015 we will be collecting a $20.00 donation at the door.  A light snack will be served and there will be a cash bar for your enjoyment.  All of the proceeds of this event will be used to establish a scholarship in Father Lefebvre’s name.  The Albany Police Pipes and Drums will perform at 6PM and the presentations will begin at 6:30PM.  The Master of Ceremonies will be Retired Chief William P. Georges of the Albany Police Dept.
