Summertime in the 518 is when everyone is living their best life!  From Lake George to Latham, the Adirondacks to SPAC, we have it all right here in our backyard.  If you've lived here for any extended period of time, you know there are certain things about the way we do Summer that make us uniquely different from other cities.  Here are 9 ways you know it's Summer in 518.

Can you believe it, June is here! That means in just a few short weeks the kids will be out of school and looking for something to do! Here are some activities in the 518 that should keep them busy and happy (parents happy also) during the summer.

In 2019 the 518 will run out of phone numbers, so plans are going into place  to accommodate a new area code.

Proving once again that anything can be a thing, today is National Fried Chicken Day. One of life's greatest comfort foods for sure and an opportunity to discuss the best fried chicken you've ever had in the Capital Region!  Was it extra crispy or regular? White meat or dark?  Let's debate this

It is true, a new area code is going in place within the Capital Region very soon. Our beautiful 518 is now becoming the 518/838. The one thing I hadn't even thought of though is how this will affect any phone call we now make locally.

It's May 18th and in other words, it's 5/18 or 518 Day! I've lived in the Capital Region my entire life and I love supporting not only my hometown of Schenectady but the entire area I come from so Happy #518Day!
