Way to go Capital Region! You've made another Top 25 list!  This time for tying the knot! When I saw the list of the most expensive states to get married, of course New York was #1... Everything in Manhattan is expensive!  But when I took a further look, I realized it's not all NYC's fault...

Do you ever think about how much money is flying around the Capital Region?  Well, you know it's out there, but where is it hiding? A report by Esri and The Albany Business Review used indicators of affluence such as household income and average net worth, as well as material possessions and home values to rank the various zip codes in the Albany area and I don't think you'll be very surprised by

If you refer to yourself as being "from the 518," there will soon be another area code to call home.

New York State has approved a plan to add a new area code in the Capital Region, and the news is good if you were fearing a number change.

The Capital Region has a really active social scene and I'm happy to say that one of my fav locals, Fran Pickles, is representing fun, fearless, singles on the scene!  So, when I heard she was doing a podcast all about the hot spots in the 518, I was all ears...

In early 2019 it looks like we will be adding another area code to go with the 518!

It should be a national holiday, well okay, maybe not a national holiday but at least a Capital Region exclusive holiday. We should all be celebrating; Shopping in local shops and eating at local restaurants and enjoying local radio stations.
