Stewart’s Named Best in New York (Again) at Great State Fair Contest
Best of the Best
For the fourth year in a row, Stewart’s Shops has brought home one of the most coveted titles in New York’s dairy world: Best Milk in the State.
Stewart's Shops shared the results from the New York State Fair in Syracuse, where the 2025 New York State Dairy Products contest celebrated the best of the best.
Stewart's has approximately 400 locations across New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, with a strong presence throughout the Capital District. This year’s competition was a tremendous success for our favorite convenience store.
4 Awards In All for Stewart's
Alongside the top milk award, Stewart’s also captured first place for Best Chocolate Milk and Best Flavored Milk, making it a clean sweep in the dairy beverage categories.
It’s not the first time Stewart’s has made headlines for its milk; in fact, this marks the 10th win in the past 20 years.
The contest itself is no small feat. The State Department of Agriculture and Markets rigorously tests milk, cheese, and ice cream from across the state to ensure both excellence and safety.
And Stewart’s didn’t stop at milk.
Mint Cookie Crumble: Cream of the Crop
Their Mint Cookie Crumble (an absolute all-time favorite in Upstate New York) ice cream claimed first place in the open class competition, while their classic Vanilla and Chocolate flavors secured strong second-place finishes.
“This is a humbling honor that serves as a testament to the hard work our farmers and partners put in every day,” said Stewart’s Shops President Chad Kiesow. “We’re proud to serve our customers the highest quality milk and ice cream possible.”
For Stewart’s, these awards represent more than just trophies — they’re a testament to doing things the right way.
Stewart's Shops says that the Dairy Products Contest highlights the hard work and passion of the people who make their careers crafting Stewart’s high-quality milk and ice cream. It’s also a celebration of the communities that support them year after year.
