Snow On Track For New York This Weekend
Before we dip into another arctic freeze next week, more snow is on track for areas south and east of Albany.
UPDATE/Read More: Winter Storm Watch Issued For Albany Area
January has certainly lived up to the weather hype.

Forecasters predicted it would be our coldest January since 2011, and it has felt that way. It has been frigid for most of the month and we are nowhere near done.
Old Man Winter will deliver the coldest temperatures of January next week, with temperatures only reaching the mid-teens Monday through Wednesday according to News Channel 13.
But before we get to that next frigid polar plunge, we will see more seasonable temperatures with some snow this weekend.
News Channel 13 says a storm is tracking up the East Coast and will bring snow Sunday night into Monday. The exact path of this storm will determine how much snow we will get, but current models show this one will affect areas south and east of the Albany area.
* UPDATE 5:45 pm 1/17/25: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Capital Region with 7 plus inches of snow expected Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. See local snowfall estimates below...
