Skidmore College to Offer Class on Miley Cyrus

Skidmore College in Saratoga will offer a new course this summer starring Miley Cyrus as a study on sociology.

The 200 level course is called The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender and Media, and will be taught by Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology Carolyn Chernoff.

I honestly think it's a good idea!  Not only does Miley herself break so many social norms, she also represents part of the new generation of kids who have grown up on the internet!  Like her or not, Miley is a smart business mind, crafting a career that has taken her from Hannah Montana to the top of the Billboard charts.  She was the most Googled celebrity last year and she has almost 18 million Twitter followers.

Skidmore's slogan is “Creative thought matters," and I have to agree, it really does!

Also, the beauty about college - you don't have to take this class if you don't want to!
