Saratoga County Tops in the Nation for Fall

When most people think of Saratoga Springs, they picture summer horse racing, big hats, and celebrity sightings. But this time, it’s the fall season putting all of Saratoga County in the spotlight, according to industry experts.

A recent USA Today Readers Poll featuring the "20 Best Fall Getaways in the U.S." includes Saratoga County among the top spots to visit when the leaves turn.

From colorful foliage and crisp air to cozy downtown restaurants and mineral spring strolls, places like Ballston Spa, Galway, Schuylerville, and Hadley, it's no wonder Saratoga County was named one of the best Places for Fall.

We’re up against some big names across the country, and some even here in New York State, including Rochester, NY, and Sleepy Hollow, but Saratoga County's mix of charm, history, and fall beauty is tough to beat.

The USA Today had high praise for Upstate New York while writing, "a popular summer destination, Saratoga County makes a great fall getaway, too. The Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway offers a cozy way to view the changing leaves, and several boat tours offer stunning fall views from the water."
