According to a report from the Greene County Sheriff's Office, a small plane crashed in the Catskill Mountains while on its way to Albany. The Sheriff's office is currently investigating the scene, and there is no word about the injuries suffered in the small 6-passenger plane or on the ground.

The GCSO reports that the plane crashed at approximately 6:10 p.m. on November 24 in a "remote location" in the Town of Windham, about one-hour southwest of Albany in the Catskill Mountains.

The Greene County Sheriff's Office stated, " Responders have reached and secured the crash site. GCSO is being assisted by the NYS Forest Rangers, NYS Police, Greene County Emergency Services, Windham and Hensonville Fire Departments, and the Civil Air Patrol. The FAA is responding, and the investigation is ongoing."
