Pre-Made Salads And Sandwiches Recalled
There has been a nationwide recall of certain pre-packaged salads and sandwiches at two major retailers with locations in the Capital Region.
According to CNN.com, there is a recall of salads and sandwiches for potential listeria contamination. The two retailers in the Capital Region that carry the products are The Fresh Market and Target.
The maker of the Archer Farms brand, Elevation Foods, is recalling its egg salad, Fresket egg salad, tuna salad, and Thai lobster salad and the Archer Farms deviled egg pre-made sandwiches that were made on June 18th. They were sold at both Fresh Market and at Target. There is also a recall of the Thai Lobster Salad at Fresh Market that they sell by the pound.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the recall because of the possible listeria contamination. Elevation Foods says that one thousand eighty-seven cases of the products were shipped across the country.
If you have the containers, you can return them to the point of purchase for a full refund. No one has reported any sickness from the products.
