How in the world does this happen and is it okay for me to be happy for this Pittsfield man, but not too happy? I mean, we all know someone who's pretty lucky, but this is off the charts stuff here.

According to WHDH.com a man in Pittsfield recently claimed a 1 million dollar jackpot from a Massachusetts lottery and incredibly it wasn't the first time he's won that giant amount.

21 years ago, back in May of 2000, Mike Rocca won the $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s "$1,000,000 Draw" instant ticket game.

What's crazy about this story is that back in May of 2000, he opted to be paid his money in yearly installments (versus one lump sum) which he had been receiving every year for the last 20 years.  But recently the 20 years was up, thus marking the end of the annual payments he'd been receiving.  Remarkably, he loaded back up with another million dollar winner when he scored with the  “$4,000,000 Instant Jackpot” instant ticket game from the Mass. lottery according to the source.

This time around, Michael Rocca chose the cash-out option for his prize and before taxes, he got one lump sum of $650,000.  According to the source Rocca purchased his winning ticket at the Kirk’s Variety and Hobby Store on Tyler Street in Pittsfield.  The store will get a little cha-ching as well receiving a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

I'm happy for the guy, really I am.  But dude, save some for the rest of us.
