College is expensive, I know that first-hand. You hope that if you're going to spend the money on it, that you'll end up getting a job right? Well, if you're looking at colleges in New York State, then you're in luck! The college most likely to score you a job in this state happens to be right here in the Capital Region.

What you study plays a role in how successful you are at getting a job after college but where you go also has a lot to do with it. The career site, Zippia, looked at a bunch of data from colleges all over the country to determine which in each state is the best to go to if you're looking at your best chance for a job. They looked at the US Department of Education's "College Scorecard" from 2017-2018 for employment rate data.

Overall, the best colleges to go to in the country are  Connecticut's Quinnipiac University, South Dakota's Augustana University, and Ohio Northern University, in that order. Closer to us, Western New England University is the best in Massachusetts and Castleton University in Vermont.

If you're looking to stay in New York State, luckily, you don't have to go very far with Siena College being the best college, according to this survey, to get a job from. A  lot of the schools on the list are more technical, which makes sense. Out of the entire state though, good for Siena to represent the Capital Region like that!
