The landlord of the property was doing a chimney inspection when she found the animals, and then contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

In the story from News 10 ABC, the animals consisted of five rabbits, eleven dogs, fish and several exotic birds. Three of the rabbits were dead, and the dogs had dirty cages, along with no food or water. The tank that had the fish had frozen water in it. Besides the animals, there may have been children living in the home, too.

The man that rented the home will probably face several charges that will be determined after exam results of the animals have been taken. The animals have been taken out f the home and placed with a veterinarian for examinations.
