I said when this season of the Celebrity Apprentice started that if John Rich doesn't win the whole thing I am going to boycott the show. Well, no boycott is necessary, as the Rich half of Big & Rich won the whole darn thing!

Some of my friends told me there was no way he was going to win, but after watching week after week, I could see he was the one with the most passion. It wasn't about him winning, it was all about winning money for his charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. The charity is also dear to our hearts here at WGNA as we have a radiothon to raise money every year.

The Finale saw John launching a new campaign for 7-up Retro, which celebrates the soft drinks heritage.  John had the task of a 1980's campaign and recruited Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider to star in the commercial and had rock band Def Leppard as part of his presentation. You can check out what happened right here:

John also has an song that he played on the show called "For The Kids" which benefits St. Jude's. All the money from every download of the song goes directly to the hospital.

Congratulations once again to the first "Country" Celebrity Apprentice. It goes to show that country boys ain't dummies. Also, Congratulations to the Kids at St. Jude's, you have alot of money coming your way!!
