Iconic Toy Store Reopens This Week
There have been rumors that Toys R Us would reopen as another store, but that hasn't happened. Well an iconic toy store featured in movies has announced that they are reopening this week. Just in time for the holidays, legendary toy store, FAO Schwarz, will reopen this week in New York City. It had abruptly closed back in 2015.
According to businessinsider.com, the new store will be opening up in Rockefeller Plaza and will be twenty thousand square feet. It will feature giant interactive displays like the famous giant piano that was featured in the movie "Big". It will also have a baby adoption center, grocery store shopping area for kids, and a place to construct remote controlled cars.
The other exciting part of this story is that there are rumors that the parent company who brought FAO Schwarz back, is also in talks with helping resurrect Toys R Us.
The FAO Schwarz store opens this Friday November 16th.
