Why Did This Popular Saratoga County Starbucks Suddenly Close?

As I was driving through a popular Saratoga County shopping area, I noticed that a usually very busy Starbucks was closed. It was so obvious. Not just because there was no line in the drive-thru, but because the signs and the marquis were completely removed from the building.

There are so many Starbucks locations in the Capital Region. Not just stand-alone coffee shops, but inside various Price Chopper Market 32 stores and Target locations. This Starbucks in Clifton Park is near a Starbucks inside Price Chopper Market 32 nearly across the street.

Why Is This Starbucks On Clifton Park Center Road Closed?

At first, it looked as if this location was going to be closed for good because not only was there a big dumpster out front but the entire store was gutted. When we spoke to one of the workers, he explained that they were shut down to do a complete refurbishment.

According to the Clifton Park Center Facebook page, Starbucks is TEMPORARILY CLOSED for renovations, until 4/24/24.

It needs to be noted that there are other coffee shop choices at Clifton Park Center including MochaLisa's Caffé.
