High School Basketball Player With Down Syndrome Hits 4 Three Pointers In 2 Minutes! [VIDEO]
18 year old, Kevin Grow is a high school senior in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. He has down syndrome and that has never stopped his desire to participate in his favorite high school activities, in fact for the last 4 years Kevin has been the Manager of his high school's basketball team.
I cant help but wonder if maybe there has been some hidden talent being wasted on the bench for the last 4 years.
Last Thursday the coach finally put him in for the last 90 seconds of the team's game and he did pretty well, he scored 3 points, a lay up with the foul shot! That isn't the end of the story though, it actually gets so much better. On Saturday during the final game of the season the coach put him in again for the last couple minutes of the game.
Kevin hit 4 out of 5 three point shots and another two pointer for a total of 14 points in 2 minutes! This made him the highest point getter for the game, for BOTH teams!
Now, we have some video of the great game on Saturday night, and I know there are a few mean spirited people out there who might say, "well clearly they were not covering the kid", to which I have to say , "Shut Up!" Seriously, the kid hadn't played at all for 4 years and he comes in off the bench and hits 4 three's in 2 minutes? I bet you couldn't do it covered, or uncovered!
Ok, I got that out of the way, so check it out, here is Kevin's big finish at the season's last game. Great job Kev!
