On May 12, we were all shocked and saddened when a toy bounce house was swept away in a strong gust of wind with three children inside in a South Glens Falls neighborhood. But now there's a way you can help the children who were injured, and their families.

Police have said that all three children were injured, two seriously. A 10-year-old girl suffered minor injuries, a 5-year-old boy suffered a severe head injury and a 6-year-old boy had facial and internal injuries and two broken arms. The 5- and 6-year-old boys were taken to Albany Medical Center.

One of the boys has returned home to continue recovering, while the status of the other boy's condition remains unknown.

The story made national headlines, but the biggest, and best story comes right from the community of South Glens Falls. A group of local parents has gathered together with local business owners and the fire department to hold several fundraising events (including an ice cream fundraiser on June 1; a car wash at the firehouse on June 1 and more) and opportunities to assist the families of the boys.

As anyone who has had an injured loved one knows, the accident can affect not only the victim, but their entire family. Many of us have wondered what we can do to help, so here are a few ways for you to get involved:
