Last month, a devastating fire wiped out over two-hundred care packages ready to be sent as part of the Adopt A Soldier program. Now the Great Escape is stepping up to help replenish those packages and offer a discount in return. According to News 10 ABC, the Wilton headquarters of the Operation Adopt A Soldier was destroyed by fire in August. The Great Escape has stepped up and they are starting its Oktoberfest by helping out this organization.

The over two-hundred boxes were all ready to be shipped to servicemen and women who are deployed overseas. But they all perished in the fire. Starting this weekend, September 7th and running through September 22nd, anyone coming to the Great Escape can donate items with a value of up to ten dollars or more.

They are looking to collect items like toothpaste, cookies, chips, prepaid phone cards, journals, deodorant, and other hygiene products to fill the packages for the soldiers.

If you donate to Operation Adopt A Soldier at the Great Escape you can save up to seventy percent on daily admission.
