There are many reasons why Stewart's Shops is one of our favorites in Upstate New York. They are always helping our communities. There is an annual event that Stewart's does that saves lives.

Stewart’s Shops and the American Red Cross are back for their 10th annual Give a Pint Get a Pint campaign. If you donate blood in June, you’ll get a certificate for a free pint of Stewart’s ice cream or gelato. Simple as that.

It’s more than just a cool treat. This campaign has helped collect over 104,000 blood donations since its inception in 2016. That’s thanks to nearly 61,000 generous donors.

But here’s the thing. Blood is always needed. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a donation. That includes accident victims, cancer patients, and people recovering from surgery.

Summer can make things tricky. People travel. Schedules change. Blood donations drop. But the need doesn’t stop. That’s why this campaign matters so much right now.

The Red Cross and Stewart’s know how to keep things easy and meaningful. You give a pint. You get a pint. And someone out there gets a second chance.

The ice cream certificate is good for any pre-packaged pint of ice cream or gelato. You can redeem it at Stewart’s locations across 30 counties, including Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and more.

This month, roll up your sleeve, make a difference, and treat yourself. One donation can help save more than one life, and you get a sweet reward too.
