It seems that we are always so excited when a fast food chain decides to open in the Capital Region. I can't lie, though, I never saw anyone in their drive-thru or even go in. So it was no surprise that this fast food restaurant closed its doors suddenly. We were excited when Panda Express had opened in Latham. But I have to say that we never step foot in that place or went through their drive-thru. Yesterday while I was driving past, I noticed that their signs were down and they were closed. They even took their cute panda logo off the sign at side of the building. The only panda left was in the window.

I really feel bad for the people who worked there that are out of jobs. It seemed to happen so suddenly. I feel like we get so excited for a fast food place to open up in our area, we frequent it for awhile and then there are no lines and eventually they close. I know this happened with Krispy Kreme, Sonic has slowed down and I am sure there are countless other ones.

The only saving grace may be that they use that building to put in a stand alone Chick-Fil-A outside of the airport. But then again, that may not last long either.
