Ellen DeGeneres has always been a big supporter of Country Music.  The TV giant has helped expose our brand of music by broadcasting live at the CMA Awards,  introducing new acts like Kellie Pickler, Luke Bryan, and Lady Antebellum and recognizing giants like Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and Glen Campbell.

As I awaited an appearance from The Band Perry on yesterday's Ellen show, I was shocked to see that she was being attacked by a group called 'One Million Moms.'  I guess I was so astonished because Ellen is such a great role model and uses her celebrity status to give back through charity work, donations and 'surprise' guest giveaways to help people live a better life, I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to get her 'fired.'

Apparently, the 'traditional-family' group had started a campaign to get her fired as the spokesperson of JCPenney, because she is openly gay.  In my opinion, I thought Ellen's response to her critics was perfect and delivered right from the heart.  If you've ever enjoyed the great Country Music Ellen has included on her show and enjoyed watching the many people that she 'surprises' with gifts and hope, please watch this clip and show your support.
