In a press release form the East Greenbush Police Department, the driver, 30-year-old Shameek D. Cain from Albany, told the police officer that he had them on because he had a headlight out. While the officer told Cain about the dangers of driving with his high beams on, he detected that alcohol was allegedly detected.

After checking, Department Of Motor Vehicle records revealed that Cain allegedly had eight suspensions on his driver’s license for a variety of unanswered violations.

Cain allegedly failed a set of sobriety tests which led to a Driving While Intoxicated charge. He was also charged with Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Failure To Dim Headlights and others.

He'll be going back to court in January.
