Jason Aldean may have country music running through his veins, but his heart beats true for his hometown sports teams, and he's not just a casual fan.

Aldean is die-hard, rooting for the likes of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and the Atlanta Braves.

On Tuesday morning, Chrissy and I interviewed Aldean on the 107.7 GNA Morning Show ahead of his concert Friday night at SPAC, and we love talking to him.

Aldean can give off a bit of an intimidating vibe, but it's not intentional.  He's just a bit more reserved than say a Luke Bryan or a Blake Shelton.

But the cool thing about Aldean is that once you break that exterior, you find he's a regular dude like anyone else.  He's pretty chill and doesn't take himself too seriously as we found that out when we jokingly asked about his wife's somewhat expensive tastes, he agreed that she could do some pretty serious damage over the course of a weekend in a place like Saratoga Springs.

But there are things Aldean does take seriously, and while we don't claim to know them all, sports are certainly one of them - especially his love for his hometown Atlanta Braves who he grew up rooting for.

When we asked Aldean to reflect on their recent World Series championship, he told us how he actually flew out to Houston in time for the series-clinching Game #6.

After the game, Aldean was on the field celebrating with fans and players, and one of them was Braves star pitcher and Clifton Park native, Ian Anderson - and you could tell by Aldean's tone, that meeting him was a real thrill!

"As a lifelong Braves fan, and someone who grew up about an hour south of Atlanta...and it was pretty awesome to be out on the field with the team!"

When asked specifically about our hometown star, Aldean couldn't be happier for him and his family and even remarked about the former Shen standout's doppelganger - something we all noticed last Fall.

"I will say it's pretty amazing how much Ian Anderson looks like Thoman Rhett...it's pretty crazy!"

Check Out What Remains of The Tobin First Prize Building in Colonie

Tobin's First Prize operated from 1924 until 1981 in the Colonie building as a meat packing plant. They also manufactured fertilizers, glue, and animal hides, and it became a meat packing operation according to Spotlight News. There were offices, a boiler room, freezers, coolers, a machine shop, two incinerators, a hog pen, and a laboratory. There was a scare recently where demolition had to be halted to deal with a possible ammonia leak. Now all that stands is the 200-foot smokestack. There is no word of when that will be coming down.
