We've reached the end of another week, so what do you say we once again go back in time and relive another great country song and video with this week's edition of Flashback Friday!

This week we go back to 1989. This was a big year in country music. It gave us the first glimpse of Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt and the gentleman featured today Clint Black. Here is his first ever single and video "A Better Man".

Clint Black's debut single from his Album "Killin' Time" released in Febuary of 1989. The song reached the top of the charts in June of the same year. It was the first time in 14 years that an artist had reached #1 with their debut single. The song was also the #1 song for the entire year of 1989. He would follow this up with 3 more #1 singles "Killin' Time", "Nobody's Home" and "Walkin' Away". The Following year the song would win the Single Of The Year award at the ACM's to go along with 3 other trophies including Top New Male Vocalist.

I hope you enjoyed this blast from the past. I have always been a fan of Clint and even had the pleasure of meeting him about 5 years ago. A pure class act!
