Cold Weather, Hot Chowder: Chowderfest Is Back in Saratoga

I Love Soup...There, I Said It!

There’s nothing like a steaming bowl of chowder on a cold winter day, and if my love for hot soup officially makes me sound like an old man… then go ahead and sign me up.

Chowderfest is back in downtown Saratoga Springs, and this year marks the 27th anniversary of one of the tastiest winter traditions around. From classic clam chowder to corn chowder to literally anything with potatoes and bacon in it (yes, please), this is my kind of day.

5 Hours of Non-Stop Chowder

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saratoga County’s top restaurants will be serving up 4-ounce samples of chowder for just $2, and you get to vote for your favorite. Bragging rights, local pride, and full stomachs are all on the line.

Beyond the chowder, you can expect live music hosted by select participants, family-friendly activities spread throughout downtown Saratoga, including the Saratoga Springs City Center and the Heritage Area Visitors Center, plus a gift card giveaway when you download the Discover Saratoga mobile app. And yes, there will be some fun surprises along the way.
