Did you know that in 2013, there were 49.1 million Americans that were unsure of where or when they'd find their next meal?

It's something so many of us take for granted: food; a warm meal. That's why the 3rd Annual Capital Region High School Hunger Games is so important, especially as the holidays approach.

As little as $1 can take a starving family and provide 6.25lbs of food. If we all pitched in, imagine the difference we could make.

And what is perfect right now is that the Capital Region High School Hunger Games is in full swing. Whether you are a student, have a student in attendance at one of the participating schools or live by/drive by one of them, you can make a difference.

We're holding pep rallies over the course of the next couple of weeks and you can find out all of the information here.

Not only can you make a difference for so many here locally in the Capital Region, but for the school as well. Imagine the school you've donated to has the most amount in weight of non-perishable foods, which will all go to the Food Pantries of the Capital District, not only is it cool to have raised more than any of the other schools, but now they'll have country star, Chase Bryant coming to perform for their school, too! Seriously! How awesome is that?!

Soooooooo, what are you waiting for?! Rally everyone you know together and get to donating! Your school will thank you. The Capital Region will thank you more!
