A man was rescued after his car flipped over and landed upside down in a creek this morning in East Greenbush.

The accident happened on Luther Road in East Greenbush near Columbia High School.  Officials say the driver, who has been pulled from his car and taken to Albany Memorial Hospital, was unconscious at the scene. Officials report the car flipped, landed on its roof and was partially under water in the creek.

The condition of the driver has not yet been released. The cause of the crash is also still under investigation.  The driver hit mailboxes and flipped before landing in the creek.  The site of the accident is just past Columbia High School.
