Albany Native in the New UFO Documentary “The Age of Disclosure”
Look, I’ll admit it: I’m a bit of a UFO/UAP nerd. So big that when the new documentary The Age of Disclosure popped up on Prime, I didn’t just click it, I paid the twenty bucks.
And honestly? It was totally worth it.
And one of the things I enjoyed the most was hearing a significant voice in the film: our very own Albany native, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
Gillibrand plays an essential role in the movement for transparency around UAPs while pushing the government to stop gaslighting and tell us what they actually know.
Gillibrand’s Role in the Documentary
The Age of Disclosure is full of military pilots, intelligence officials, and lawmakers. Still, Gillibrand stands out because she’s not just casually interested; she’s actively working on legislation that would pry open decades of secrecy.
She co-sponsored the UAP Disclosure Act. This bill would force the government to finally, officially release long-classified UAP records. Translation: “Stop hiding the receipts.”
She’s pushing hard for transparency.
Gillibrand says we need more transparent reporting, less stigma, and more honesty, but not for conspiracy reasons, but because this is a national security issue.
If something’s flying around our airspace and we don't know what it is, and worse, can't defend ourselves… that’s a problem!
She’s one of the few lawmakers taking this seriously.
According to the New York Times, she’s committed to ensuring UAP reports are handled and disclosed correctly. In the doc, she discusses the need to strengthen reporting channels and modernize how the government handles these encounters.
She still thinks the bigger threat is Earth, not space.
While she’s all-in on UAP transparency, she also says the real risks come from terrestrial rivals like China and Russia.
Basically: “Aliens might be real, but Earthlings are still scarier.”
So… Is The Government Hiding Something?
That’s the vibe of the whole documentary — exploring decades of rumors about recovered craft, “non-human technology,” and alleged cover-ups across intelligence agencies.
Does The Age of Disclosure confirm anything? Not exactly. But it does show that prominent figures in government, including a Senator from our own backyard, remain among the most vocal, informed, and persistent advocates.
Whether you think aliens are visiting us, spying on us, or laughing at us…
The Age of Disclosure is absolutely worth watching, and seeing Senator Gillibrand front and center made it even cooler.
