70 State Jobs Available In The Capital Region

New York state is now hiring nearly five hundred jobs across the state. They are hoping to hire seventy of those here in the Capital Region. Here's what they are looking for. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) is hiring seasonal and permanent employees throughout the state. There are seventy one jobs available in the Capital Region alone.

According to WKTV, applications are now being accepted for the New York State Department of Transportation from Long Island through Upstate New York. The jobs are for permanent and seasonal maintenance staff. The DOT is hoping to hire and train staff on equipment now so they are ready to plow when the winter season is here.

If you are hired, you will be trained on different types of equipment like backhoes, front end loaders and stump grinders. Physical labor is a job requirement.
