Snow Showers Sneak Into Weekend Forecast

While we are about a month away from the typical average date of our first snowfall in Albany, some are already seeing the flakes fly.

Early last week, Whiteface Mountain got a few flurries, and it looks like higher elevations could see a little more snow this coming weekend.

According to the New Channel 13 First Warning Forecast, temperatures will be up and down over the next few days. Albany will see a high of 58 today with sun, 67 on Friday with a chance of thunderstorms. A cold front will arrive Friday into Saturday, with a high of only 47 on Saturday with sun.

Early Saturday, with those chilly temperatures, New Channel 13 says some higher elevations could see "lingering mixed rain and snow showers." Good times!

Milder temperatures in the 50s will return Sunday, and we will be back in the 60s to kick off the work week.
