No - I didn’t mistype the word killers. Apparently four kittens needed to find a warm place to stay, and worked their way into the Great Meadow Correctional Facility, about 50 miles north of the Albany area.

In the story from CBS 6 Albany, the inmates and prison staff have been taking care of the feral felines. Some of the prison employees have been helping out by buying food for the kittens, and medical services have been offered at a special fee by the Granville Veterinary Clinic.

You can check out the story from the Post Star about the names that have been given to the kittens. It’s likely members of the staff will eventually take the kittens home. At least that’s what prison officials are hoping for.
