Ziplining: Where You Need to Go in the 518 [LIST]
If you're afraid of heights, this may not be the best idea for you but if you're like me and can't get enough, you need to go ziplining and here are some of the best places to fly through the sky in this area. New York Upstate put together this great list.
The Catskills: with a place with as many mountains and open space as the Catskills, you know there's gonna be some amazing ziplining views.
Windham Mountain: The zipline is 500 feet, 40 feet above ground and it's $10 for one ride, $15 for two rides.
Hunter Mountain: Hunter doesn't stop with just one zipline, they have 6 total! Plus, 4 suspension bridges, 9 tree platforms, with the longest zipline at 650 feet long with a rappel at the end.
The Adirondacks
Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course: Not just 15 different zipline, they have over 130 obstacles to try out too.
Calypso's Cave: Found in Old Forge, there's a 300-foot-long zip line where you fly over their mini- golf course and it's only $6.
Capital Region
Howe High Adventures: Did you know Howe Caverns offers more than just the caves? You fly 40 feet in the air for over 900 feet as a part of their outdoor adventure park.
Engelke Farm: It's by reservation only but $15 for 1 ride on 2 lines, $20 for 2 rides on 2 lines, $30 for 1 hour of unlimited rides.
Mountain Ridge Adventure: You get to fly over a 500 foot gorge after taking part in an outdoor adventure course for only $29.
Finger Lakes: Bristol Mountain
Central NY: Outdoor Adventure Center at Greek Peak & Soaring Eagle Zip Line at Thunder Island
