According to an East Greenbush Police Department press release, Gary Donnelly allegedly helped himself to a 47 inch flat screen television, put it on a shopping cart and pushed it through a closed check out aisle and then through the doors, leaving the store without paying for it.

After seeing Donnelly allegedly stealing the tv, a store employee tried to let store security know about the shoplifter, but he was already gone. That’s when security personnel used their surveillance tapes to see what Donnelly did on his visit to the store. Those tapes showed him talking to other people in the store. Those people seemed to know who he was, and told security when they were asked about him.

Donnelly was charged with Larceny and released, but he’ll have to appear in East Greenbush Town Court at a later date.
