Woman Allegedly Stole $7K Working at Area Mall

A Glens Falls woman is accused of stealing over $7,000 in cash while working at a pretzel shop inside a local mall, police say.

According to The Post-Star, 27-year-old Breann K. Barros stole over $7,000 worth of cash in what state police are saying was a two month operation while working at Auntie Anne's Pretzels inside Aviation Mall in Glens Falls.

Following a two-week investigation, the "Vigilante Anne" allegedly took as much as $100 a day from the register and then attempted to cover it up by entering large quantities of of 'false refunds'.  Her attempt to replenish the missing loot didn't go unnoticed and the woman responsible for the pretzel tryst was watched for two weeks under surveillance, according to the report.  Following the investigation, police allege that she pocketed more than $7,000 in the pretzel dough.

Breann K. Barros faces two felony counts according to the report.
