Wolf Road Getting A New Store In Toys R Us Space

There are a bunch of buildings for sale or rent on Wolf Road. It was just announced that a new retailer will take over one of them, the old Toys R Us/Babies R Us location. I have to say that I really miss Toys R Us, especially the location on Wolf Road in Colonie. That was the store I would bring Ryan to pick out toys either for him or if a friend was having a birthday. It was also the place where I would get a baby shower gift in a pinch. Although those stores aren't coming back, at least they are utilizing the space with another store.

According to the timesunion.com, Hobby Lobby will take over the forty thousand square foot building across from Colonie Center on Wolf Road. The giant home store that carries seasonal decor, craft items and party supplies should be open sometime in April.

There are only two other Hobby Lobby stores in the Capital Region. There is one in Latham and another in Queensbury.
