The toy giant makes its Capital Region comeback!

Thanks to a seemingly unlikely partnership, a once-great toy giant is looking to make a comeback across Upstate New York and the rest of the country.

If you're willing to take a road trip, you can still shop some of the Capital Region's retro retail stores.

When we heard our childhood was closing, we were crushed. Apparently we didn't have to wait too long because they opened their first US retail store and it's not too far away.

Just in time for the holidays, you are able to shop Toys 'R' Us for all of the games, toys and action figures. You can't go to a Toys 'R' Us store, but all of the stuff is available online now.

It's been weird that Toys 'R' Us has gone out of business. There is a glimmer of hope, however, that they may be resurrected by the end of this year on a smaller scale.

There seems to be a bunch of empty and vacant buildings around the Capital Region that used to have beloved Toys 'R' Us stores. Little by little they are starting have new stores occupy them.

There are a bunch of buildings for sale or rent on Wolf Road. It was just announced that a new retailer will take over one of them, the old Toys R Us/Babies R Us location.

There may be new life for Toys 'R' Us. The iconic toy story that went out of business last year, may be making a comeback.

We've known for some time that Toys R Us would completely shut its doors. But it seemed that every time I was near the iconic toy store, it was still open. Now we have a definite closing date.

When Toys R Us and Babies R Us closed their stores, customers were left scrambling to redeem gift cards. Now another store is stepping up and will accept those unused Toys R Us and Babies R Us gift cards. Good news there are four locations in and around the Capital Region.
