
Winter Storm Watch Issued For Capital Region: See Snowfall Estimates
Sunday's storm is now tracking to bring a good chunk of snow to the greater Albany area.
As we prepare for frigid temperatures to kick off the work week, we will now have a fair amount of snow to contend with as well in the greater Albany area.
National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Watch
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning for the following areas:
- Capital Region
- Southeast Catskills
- Mid-Hudson Valley
- Southern Taconics
- Bennington & Windham Counties in Vermont
- Berkshire County In Massachusetts
The NWS says snow will start Sunday afternoon and fall through Monday morning with 7 inches or more of snow accumulation possible, affecting the Monday morning commute.
This storm will be followed by our most frigid temperatures of the season so far. News Channel 13 says highs will only reach the teens on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
