Will Wet Hair In Cold Weather Gets You Sick?
The other morning I jumped in the shower and was out the door within 10 minutes. That was great and everything, but within 3 days I ended up with a sore throat. Did one lead to the other? I did a little research
Here's one article I found from the Huffington Post.com. According to research at the Mayo Clinic, and I quote:
In order to get an infection you need to be exposed to an infectious agent," said Dr. Pritish Tosh, an infectious diseases physician and researcher at the Mayo Clinic.
However, they do say that very cold weather (sound familiar?) can stress the body and lower your immune system. And they also say that certain viruses thrive outside, but that doesn't mean just because you ran out without a jacket or without drying your hair that you're going to be bedridden.
And once again, they push you to wash your hands a lot.
Did you learn something from this? I'm not sure I did, to be honest. I still got this cold out of nowhere, and my hair was very, very wet. I'm skeptical… What say you?
