Second Wave Of Flu Season Here

If you didn't get the flu this season, well you were one of the lucky ones. But you may not be in the clear just yet. There's a warning that a second wave of the flu is here. According to News Channel 10, there is a second wave of flu that is in our area right now. It is the flu virus B. Awhile back, flu virus A was wreaking havoc across the state but now it has shifted to B.

It's weird because when I had the flu during the height of the season, I was diagnosed with B. At the time, my doctors said that that was the rare strand and that they weren't seeing much of it. According to the CDC (Center For Disease Control) this wave is the B virus. This virus tends to be more severe in younger children.

There has been a steady decline of flu A in the past three months but a resurgence of flu B is on the rise. The CDC reminds people that it's not too late to get the flu shot.
