It is going to be sunny and warm through Monday, just what we want for Memorial Day Weekend. And 'warm' is a great indicator of what's to come in the months ahead.

After what has been a tough spring being stuck inside, we are going to be blessed with a great stretch of weather for the Memorial Day holiday weekend with temperatures in the low 80's. It will actually be a little warm for this time of year, and the Weather Channel says that trend will continue this summer. According to their weather outlook, we can expect temperatures slightly above normal. So maybe it will not be a scorcher, but we should certainly have a nice warm summer ahead here in Upstate New York.

While this outlook is ideal and under normal conditions would be perfect, I think we wouldn't mind seeing some scorching temperatures with hopes that they may slow the coronavirus. The jury is still out on whether or not summer will slow the vCOVID-19 down, but I say lets not leave anything to chance. Maybe a good week of high 90's temperatures in early July is just what we need to burn this virus up. I say let the heatwaves rip, and hopefully Mother Nature can help us out a bit in this pandemic battle.
