There are plenty of steakhouses to choose from in the Capital Region. But there are only a few upscale restaurants that are known for steaks. A restaurant synonymous with high-quality cuts of USDA prime beef will be coming soon to Colonie.

What High-Quality Steakhouse is Coming to Colonie?

Ruth's Chris Steak House was started in 1965 by Ruth Fertel who bought a restaurant called Chris Steak House. She was forced to change the name after a fire at the original restaurant so it became Ruth's Chris Steak House. The steakhouse is known for the best cuts of prime beef with a pat of butter on top. There are one hundred fifty locations around the world but the closest one to the Capital Region is in Tarrytown (Westchester County) and in Newington, Connecticut.

There was a change of tenant form filed with the town and it looks as if there won't be many renovations that need to be done to the building. The town's zoning code states that the restaurant as it is aligns with the standards and code of the Wolf Road commercial district.
