Stuyvesant Plaza will add some exciting additions after the New Year. Two well-known retailers are set to move in.

Vineyard Vines, the popular clothing brand known for its preppy style and signature pink whale logo, will open on the plaza’s north side. Founded by brothers Shep and Ian Murray on Martha’s Vineyard in 1998, the brand has grown from a small venture into a nationally recognized name with stores across the U.S., including a few in New York. Right now, the closest Vineyard Vines location is in Manchester, Vermont, but soon it’ll be right here in Guilderland.

Athleta, another soon-to-arrive retailer, specializes in athletic wear for women and is part of the Gap Inc. family. It already has nearby stores at Crossgates Mall and in downtown Saratoga Springs. Athleta’s new spot will be located next to White House Black Market, in a corner of the plaza that’s recently been updated with new green space.

Rachel Ferluge, the General Manager of Stuyvesant Plaza, shared her excitement about the new additions with News 10 ABC.

We are thrilled to welcome Athleta and Vineyard Vines to Stuyvesant Plaza. Both brands have an incredible history and bring unique styles that let customers express themselves through fashion.

These aren’t the only changes at Stuyvesant Plaza lately. Local men’s boutique Union Hall Supply Co. opened recently, and Mediterranean eatery Simone’s is on the way. Plus, the plaza’s majority owner, WS Development out of Boston, has been busy with renovations to refresh the space and bring in a mix of national brands like Sur La Table and Warby Parker, along with local favorites.

All in all, Stuyvesant Plaza is shaping up to be even more of a go-to spot, offering new shopping options and a fresh look. Keep an eye out for these exciting new arrivals in the new year.

New York Mob Boss John Gotti's Abandoned Mansion with Secret Room Discovered!

WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.

NY mob boss John Gotti's mansion sits abandoned in Old Westbury with many possessions still inside. The Gotti compound boasts a main house, a pool/guest house, a garage, a horse stable with an unfinished in-law apartment, an overgrown basketball court, and a triple-level hot tub/pool/swim-up bar. This was the mansion that Gotti's daughter Victoria called home with her 3 sons John, Carmine, and Frank. They filmed the reality show "Growing Up Gotti" here for 3 seasons in 2004 and 2005. After the feds raided the mansion in 2016, it has laid dormant with a lot of possessions left behind. What trespassers found was something no one expected. A hidden room behind a built-in bookshelf. Check it out!
