According to TimeOut.com, Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY has been named one of the best winter vacations in the United States. Hunter Mountain is all about fun, not intimidation. Whether you’re carving down the slopes for the hundredth time or still figuring out how to pizza-stop, it has runs for everyone.

If you stay at the Hunter Mountain Sanctuary, prepare for peak relaxation. You kick off your ski boots, sink into a comfy chair by a roaring fire, and sip on some mulled wine or whisky while gazing at the mountain you just tackled. It’s the kind of cozy, end-of-the-day vibe you dream about during the workweek.
