I love Make A Wish, I think getting kids with terminal illness a final wish is an amazing idea, but I have often wondered why we couldn't do it for adults too. I guess it comes down to the fact that there are unfortunately too many adults who are facing terminal disease. This story though of a Mom and her one desire kind of made me want to help. What this family is asking for monetarily is just not that much and they are in fact really close to the $8,000 they need. Here is the story.

Last night, I read this story my brother in law posted on Facebook. It's a go fund me page for his friend Scott. I became familiar with Scotts story in March. It had an immediate impact on me. This is a family of 6 with 2 disabled sons whose Mom spent 24 hours a day caring for them. Now, with ALS taking over, her health is deteriorating fast and her family just wants to thank her one last time.
Here is Scott's request:
"my name is Scott and my family is trying to raise some money for my Mom's last wish. Her name is Marilyn and has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). She has been deteriorating very fast and can barley speak. Mom and Dad have been rocks in our family raising four boys, 2 of whom are very disabled."
Scott is trying to raise $8,000 to take one last family vacation - an RV trip from New York to the Grand Canyon, his moms last wish.   They need the money to rent the RV and cover the trip expenses and give back to their mom one last time.

I think it would be great if this family got this wish , if you want to help to just click the button and give what you can.
