Spectacular Holiday Celebration in Lake George Village This Month
Lake George Village is ready to celebrate this holiday season with the annual “Lite up the Village” event.
For 26 years, this beloved community event has been bringing holiday cheer to Lake George, drawing thousands to Shepard Park and Canada Street. With free festivities for everyone, you can expect live music, fireworks, a festive holiday parade, and the breathtaking lighting of holiday displays all across the village.
On November 30th, the festivities start at 3 p.m. with live music. News Channel 13's Mark Mulholland will host the Crazy & Ugly Sweater Contest. Everyone is welcome to enter and there is no registration necessary. Just show up in your wildest holiday sweater for a chance to win.
Join in a holiday sing-along at 6:15 p.m. This leads to the countdown to light up the village. At 6:25 p.m., more than 7,000 holiday lights will illuminate Shepard Park, Canada Street, Blais Park, and Beach Road into Charles R. Wood Park.
At 6:30 p.m., fireworks will light up the night sky, followed by the grand Parade of Holiday Lights, featuring festive firetrucks, floats, and Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves.
After the parade, families can visit Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves at the Lake George Firehouse on Ottawa Street, where refreshments will be served to keep the holiday spirit glowing.
