Thanksgiving Opening Hours For Some Albany-area Stores

Not long ago I created a poll about whether you were going to shop on Thanksgiving since some stores will be opening on Thanksgiving instead of Black Friday.

Maybe you will be waiting to go on Black Friday or just check out the specials online on Cyber Monday.

Here’s a list of some of the stores that will be opening on either Thanksgiving or Black Friday and the time that they will be open. It’s possible that some of the listed times will change so it’s a good idea to call the store before you head out.

Stores scheduled to open on Thanksgiving:

Kmart - 6 a.m.

Best Buy - 6:00 p.m.

J.C. Penney - 8 p.m.

Kohl's - 8 p.m.

Macy's - 8 p.m.

Sears - 8 p.m.

Target - 8 p.m.

Walmart - 6:00 p.m.

Toys R Us - 5 p.m. Thanksgiving - Friday at 10 p.m.

Here’s one that’s a little different:: Staples - 8 p.m. until midnight on Friday. They’ll reopen at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
