Thanksgiving is a day that most of us get together with our families and think about what we’re thankful for.

On television, we’ll watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (especially if you have kids), then later in the day, football. Then comes the dinner. Everyone sits at the table to enjoy (usually) turkey with all of the fixings.

And now, we go shopping. Oh wait - Never mind all of the other stuff, we can now do our holiday shopping, and as early as 6:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving. Are you kidding me? I thought that when people went shopping very early on Black Friday were crazy.

Some stores will be opening on Thanksgiving at 6:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. I recently heard that shopping will now start at 6:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving. Kmart is one of the stores that are planning to do that, and remain open for 41 hours straight, according to a story from MSN.com.

In a story from ABC News, Macys, the store that sponsors the parade. is also planning to open on Thanksgiving evening, for the first time ever.

Sorry folks, I am not going shopping on Thanksgiving, but I wonder what you think about it. Please take our poll.
