I had the honor to introduce a very special fan of The Taste Of County Music Festival and a military hero to the crowd on Friday night. It was Specialist Kyle Newberry. On Friday night, which was Military Appreciation Day at the Taste Of Country Music Festival, I had the privilege to honor a true hero. His name is Kyle Newberry and for the last ten years, he would attend the Taste Of Country as a super fan wearing a turkey hat. He came to be known as "Turkey Man".

What concert-goers didn't know is that Kyle is an active Army Specialist with the 668 Infantry out of Orangeburg, NY. He had never missed a Taste Of Country Music Festival until 2017 when he was deployed overseas to fight for our country.

When we shared his story on stage in front of thousands on Friday, it was truly humbling to be in Kyle's presence. He, too, was humbled and honored to be there. Behind the scenes, he told me he was terrified to get on stage in front of all of the people but was brought to tears from the outpouring of love they showed.

As we walked off stage together, the crowd chanted, "U.S.A - U.S.A.- U.S.A!".  Just amazing!
