I met a group of fantastic kids who wouldn't even THINK of bullying another.  That's a relief, because there is so much of it going around these days.  I asked if they wanted to write a quick "Don't Be A Bully" jingle, and they were "all about it".  Welcome to another stop on the Reading, Writing, and Rhyming Tour

This was a real last ditch effort.  We solicited towns on the air yesterday (Wednesday), and Gansevoort was suggested.  As a former resident, I thought it was definitely time!

i'm looking for the next town on the Capital Region map to write a ditty about.  A day without a rhyme is a day without sunshine.  Let's do it, folks.  I want to have a song for Your Town Thursday.

Producer Levack presented me with a challenge.  It was a great idea -Take the new Tim McGraw/ Taylor Swift hit and talk about the commuter interruption that we are experiencing around here in the Clifton Park area.   I love a challenge

What a tragedy at sea!  But then again, as I've learned from Saturday Night Live and other shows, comedy can come from unfortunate circumstances.  You have to laugh these days or you'll go crazy, correct?  So with that in mind, I present my song about this incident, with apologies to "Little Big Town"

West Virginia is all upset because there's a show on MTV that makes them look backwards and intellectually challenged (nsert wise-crack here)  The program is called Buckwild.  I've watched it, and I personally don't think it's worth a buck.  How low can TV go?

This was a labor of love.  Actually, the song was love.  The slideshow?  Agonizing work!   I hope you like the result.  Please watch it, or if you don't feel like watching the whole thing, leave it running on the computer as a nite lite.  After all this effort, i want it used for something!

I had the unique opportunity to visit a great school and a great grade school teacher, and it was all done by basically closing my eyes and picking a teacher's name off of their website, all because her first and last name rhymed.   Must have been karma.

I'm sitting here next to my keyboard with pen in hand.  I'm ready, willing and able to start writing a song for Greenwich NY.
